Well, of course it has to be in a different directory. That worked like a charm, thanks John. I was having what one of my co-workers refer to as a “senior moment”.
I’m having the same error message when I try to install 5.8.4 on my RHEL Linux test system. I don’t see any other patch install scripts. Anyone else encounter this problem?
I have a similar issue with a CL 5.8 system that is on the other side of a firewall. I finally got the IDE to open but every time I try to open a different configuration tool it tries to go through a different port! I opened a ticket back in January with support but never got a complete list of what ports the system will try to open so I have a completely ueless box unless I go back and request a firewall change until I’ve uncovered them all. Somebody has to have a list of the ports that will be used, PLEASE share.

non-vpn connection. I don’t know if this sheds any light on the subject or not but what happened is that the receiving system (HPF) appeared to have encountered a problem but failed to shut down properly – I believe that I remember seeing the thread status was “up” (I wouldn’t swear to it) but the log/err files were logging at a rate of several hunderd messages a second. I came to Clovertech to see if anyone else had this problem. If there is a case logged with Quovadx it might be of interest to know that there has been at least one instance when this happened to a connection that wasn’t going through a tunnel.
Cloverleaf includes their own copy of the top command in the $HCIROOT/bin directory and it was causing me fits. I renamed the file to top_hci and added a symbolic link to usrbintop. That way I was pointing to the version of top that came with my system.
Best regards, JFD
