We are AIX 6.1 in an LPAR environment running CIS5.8 Rev 3
Our discs are an EMC disc farm.
Our test system has been up 3 weeks with nightly backups and compress.
No issues to date. We plan to bring production up in about 2 weeks.
Could you elaborate on your issues please. We have 5.8 Rev 3 up on AIX 6.1.
Things are looking good so far.
We pass base64 pdf in OBX #5 in QDX 5.4.
We manually edited that field size to 500K. Our messages are generally over 150K. The main issue is storage of these bloated messages.

#export QDXI_LIBPATH=${JAVA_HOME}/bin:${JAVA_HOME}/bin/classic
export LIBPATH=${QDXI_LIBPATH}:${LIBPATH}
This was ours.
The line commented out was for 5.4.
The LIBPATH is for 5.8.
Give it a try.
Many Thanks James.
Works as advertised.
Has anyone seen this behavior. Primary box 10.5.19.82 Virtual 10.5.10.105. Logon with box IP OK. Once logged on can change sites and enter Virtual IP and works OK. Exit and log back in get the following exception
“Unknown host: 10.5.19.82; nested exception is:
java.net.UnknownHostException: No entry in proxy socket for host: 10.5.19.82
Now if if I click OK and then reenter 10.5.19.82 them it works.
We have modified the following line in both hciconnstatus and hciprocstatus to allow longer names.
set fmt “%-32.32s %-32.32s %-10.10s %-15.15s %-20.20s” ;# Output line format
Works well
Thanks James. That was a no-brainer We have 5.8 up in test. The process names are indeed ordered in the Net Monitor. The thread names are now not imbedded in Inons making for a major mess on the screen. In my initial install I got the same error. Sorry I forgot to mention it initally. Take a look in the install error log. Look for the word ERROR. I used the uninstall procedure supplied, then cleaned the system to ensure that things were back to normal. Did another install and no errors in the log. I cannot account for the ERROR on the first install.
Just installed 5.8 Rev3 on a new LPAR configured AIX box.
The release notes point out some issues with HL7 that you need to address.
I’m in the process of migrating some test sites for tuning.
No issues yet.
We are sending PDF (in OBX 5) which can be very large. We manually edited the HL7 variant (the size for OBX 5) and are having no problems. Thanks Rob Jim Kosloskey wrote:I am not complaining about the digests. I think it is an excellent idea.
I just need to get familiar with it.
I set up for every hour (since there is not a lot of activity currently). I would possibly set up a different interval with more activity.
I have mine set up for 1 hour. I would like that to be only during normal hours if that werwe possible for the future.
