xml schema embedded in data

Has anyone had to deal with an xml schema being sent as part of the data?

I am looking at stripping the schema out using regsub in a preproc,  however, wanted to touch base to see if there was a “better’ way to handle it.

Hi Ryan,

We have some experience with XML/XSD. Never had to deal with XSD being part of the XML data. I don’t think this is the way to go: the XML has to be validated against XSD. Both are supplied by your vendor, so they should deliver a correct XML which needs to be validated against the XSD.

And of course: you can always rip out the XSD in preproc. But I would first try to have the correct XML delivered to you.
