xml batch interface

I am trying to convert XML to vrl and the inbound xml is a batch with multiple patients in each batch I can get the first sequnce to work but I cannot get this to copy multiple sequences. I would use an interate in an hl7 interface but I am not sure how to do this in xml can anyone help?

Use the “segment” iterate for XML.  Double-click on the input path you want to iterate on and it should fill in the basis for you.

Is there a way to make a vrl repeating?  I have been playing with HRL but I cannot get it to copy to the correct vrl field.

HRL is the way to go.

We have HRL with repeating VRL definitions here that work.

One of the keys is to have the VRL Global Option terminator character set (x0d for example seems to do just fine).

thanks that got me one step closer is there a way to set the HRL to unlimited repeats?

What I have done is to make the first field of the VRL an identifier (for example for HL/7 OBX segment information in a VRL I would use the value OBX).

Then in the HRL I would specify the VRL occurred (I don’t recall the exact terminology but I can look it up if you need) while that identifier field in the VRL is equal to OBX.
