XLATE COPY

    Let me start by saying.. Im a rookie at this.

    If I want to send a message all A01’a thru A08’s with MSH-5 to be hardcoded with a “ABC” value… do i use just a xlate or a tcl ?

    and if i create a xlate do i need to do one for each A01, A02, A03 etc… any help is appreciated.. thanks !!!

      You do not need to create a seperate xlate for each trigger event, and a Tcl Proc shouldn’t be necessary. In the NetConfig you can create a new route, I prefer the following format:

      ADT_A(0[1-8])

      You can use a single xlate if the message format is to remain the same for all messages. I would start with a Bulk Copy, then do individual Path Copies for each segment. After the MSH Path Copy, you can do a Copy statement similar to the following:

      Source            Destination

      =ABC     –>   0(0).MSH.#5
