XLATE configurator: copying multiple segments

Hi,  

I’m building an xlate procedure to convert ADT messages from HL7 v 2.4 to 2.1.  Overall, it’s pretty well coded.  I’m in the process if includinig the ZCD segments now.  I’ve built a ZCD segments in both my HL7 2.1 and 2.4 configurations and am testing it.

What I’ve done is a pathcopy of ZCD 2.4 to ZCD 2.1.  I’ve listed both segments as optional and repeating, and I’m testing an A01 message with three ZCD segments.  What’s happening is I’m only getting the first segment to transfer.  Any thoughts on what I might me missing?

I answered my own question after not even 5 minutes of trial and error!  All I needed to do was, while in Pathcopy,  make the sourse look like this: 4(0).[{ZCD}](0) (where ZCD is in the appropriate brackets), and then do the same thing for the destination.

If nothing else, I hope this info comes in handy for someone else…thanks!

That is interesting.

I would have thought one would have had to ITERATE over the Segment and do the PATHCOPY inside the ITERATE.
