    I am trying set up a connection for 270/271 transactions. In the EO Config: I have enable_all and in the log it shows

    IDLE and 572 bytes but no error: starting READ

    PDL changed states: old 0, new 1

    Calling Tcl procedure: hci_pd.read

    with args: {}

    Tcl procedure hci_pd.read returns ‘RECEIVE’

    trying to match phrase: basic-msg

    ] multi: phrase #0 rejected; trying next

    11/23/2009 14:04:19

    no-match: no more phrases to try

    I assume there is something set up wrong, but am at a loss as to what. This is our first X12 transaction set. Can someone give me a few pointers as to what to look for?

      What protocol is the sending system using?

      If you set this up like HL/7 and used mlp-pdl, then I think that is your problem.

      When I have done real-time X12 it is usually TCP/IP. The X12 community does not have the mlp specification.

      What does your Companion Guide from the sending system indicate?

      In the log take a look at the hex dump of the message (it appears you are using a PDL protocol) I suspect it does not have whatever encapsulation you are expecting.
