what log file can do for us

What is the purpose of using log file in cloverleaf. I checked the log file and it contains only commands used, just wandering besides auditing the command have been used, whatelse usage of log file? THANKS

Hi,

I find it very useful for debugging runtime problems. Obviously everything worked fine during testing and QC but something unexpected always turns up:-)

The amount of information in the log file can be ‘controlled’ using an eo alias – the enable_all provided as part of the install is VERY busy but you can simplify this by producung your own that outputs the data you are interested in. I think there are some examples on the forum – search for eo alias.
