Hi folks, QDX 5.3P rev 3 running on AIX5.2.
I’ve a couple of NFS mount-type thread connections in both my production and test regions on the same box. Due to previous experience with these test systems, the associated test region processes are always down and the threads set to non-autostart. All of these Windows systems export their folders and the Cloverleaf system would mount these folders.
Just two days ago, one of these systems experienced an irrecoverable power trip. Since my test process/threads were down, I presumed it was all right. But somehow one of my production sites came to a standstill. All messenging stopped and the monitor daemon refused to start.
The situation was normalised only after I asked the sys admin to unmount that particular NFS mounting.
Any idea why this is so?
Thanks!
