I’m translating a ORU 2.3 to an ORU 2.2 on CL3.5.2P. I can not use pathcopy as it is not an option. I’ve got an translate set up to xlate each required field, but when I get to the OBX5 field, I am only getting the first subfield. I tried an iterate, but it doesn’t seem to work. How can I get the enitre OBX5 field, which is made up of multiple lines separated by tilda’s (~), to xlate to the outbound message?  ðŸ˜•

    Here is an example:

    Part of OBX5:

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: This baby’s head circumference is 34.5 cm. She is~ hydrocephalic. That is up from 34 cm yesterday after her tap. She is~ pale-pink and asleep in an open crib. ~~VS:  Stable.~Genera

l:  Active infant in room air.~Chest:  Clear and equal breath sounds bilaterally.~Heart:  NSR, no murmur, two sec CRT, +2 pulses.~Abdomen:  Soft, nondistended, positive bowel sounds.~Neuro:  Good symmetrical tone, anterior fontanel soft and flat.~~ASSESSMENT/PLAN:  ~1)   Respiratory. This infant continues in room air with no apnea or~ bradycardia. We will continue to monitor her closely. ~~2)   Fluids and nutrition. The baby is feeding Similac Special Care ~     20-Calorie Formula, 40 ml every three hours, which gives her ~     171 ml/kg/day. She is nippling all of her feedings; stooling; and~ voiding. ~~

    This is what is translated:

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: This baby’s head circumference is 34.5 cm. She is

    Any help is greatly appreciated…

Well, It took a post, but I fixed it… For those interested… I had set up my basis variable as %fx, well it should have been %f1 😳.

Does this mean that f1 increments by 1? Would f2 increment by 2? Why wouldn’t fx work?

      Just curious…  ðŸ™„  Mary.

No, %f1, %f2 (and so on) all increment by one. The number at the end is just to identify the variable. And it needs to be a number, so %fx doesn’t work.
