Tesing XML With 5.3

I was able to compile my layout without any errors. But evertime I try to test it using the testing tool I keep getting “[0:TEST] Fatal Error generated during parsing. – Expected an element name – Line 1, Col 44”. Does any one have an idea what I’m missing?
