Ok, dealing with another Mckesson client connecting to us as a server.
When I stop/start our side – call it phs_ib…..their side “thinks” they are still connected…as a result…when I start phs_ib….they dont reconnect…even though they dont seem to know that I ever went away….
so I’m left with an opening Server thread and having to go stop and start the Mckesson side……
What, most likely , is Mckesson not doing on their client that they dont reconnect in this situation?

In cloverleaf their is a setting to auto-reconnect an interface every 5 seconds by default. Ask the vendor if they have a similar configuration setting and ask them to make sure it is turned on and set to a reasonalbe value.
I’ve seen a number of vendor interfaces that will not connect until their is a message to be sent.
You might also test to see if you witness that behaivor.
