Does anyone know what is the largest file size you can open in SMAT?

Similar problem. Tried opening a SMAT file with over 10,000 messages and received following error:

“There isn’t enough memory to store parsed indexes. Please enlarge it in “Client Options”.

      Exception Information box shows:

      java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

I can see the Client Options but don’t know what to change. Anyone?

      Using 5.6R2.

      Mike,

Under ‘Options’ > ‘Client Options’, on the ‘Advanced’ tab, you need to add the JVM argument:

      -Xmx256m

You can increase the ‘256’ value if needed (i.e. to 512, 1024, etc.)

      Hope this helps.

Thanks James. Actually saw this on another thread last night and worked like a charm. *sigh of relief*

yes after setting the JVM ARGS to 1024 for qdx5.7 rev2 i can now open SMAT files of 42000 messages no problem.

      for client.ini and server.ini

      Robert,

Where are you adding the -Xmx256m as an argument?  To work with larger SMAT files it should be in the “Advanced” tab of the Client Options/JVM Options once in the GUI.

The errors your receiving look like it’s being added to the command that starts the IDE.

      Hope this helps.
