We have just installed 5.7 for testing (upgrading from 5.4.1).

When in the GUI SMAT, it appears that you can no longer do a quick search using “Add Specified Messages”.

      Hi Ron,

What version are you migrating from? We already noticed a dramatic performance improvement when migrating from CL5.2 to CL5.5.

Also, can you confirm Kenadi’s observation that you can’t use ‘Add Specified Messages’ when doing a quick search?

      We’re well behind, we’re jumping from 3.8.1.

We just installed the new version too. It is very cumbersome in comparision to 5.6 SMAT specified messages (a neagtive), but it does keep the previous search argument (a plus). I’d like to use the updated tool for awhile, but the 3-4 screens to finally get the results is a little bit too much overhead for me right now…

I have to agree that it is cumbersome as to how may screens you must go through to get the desired result especially when you want to do just a quick search.  Not sure where the views are saved to or how to get them back from site to site and message file to message file.  Would like an option to have the old format.

      Rey,

We are currently runngin 5.6 rev2

Is that when you’ll add in the ability to bring up multiple instances of SMAT too?  ðŸ˜€    (Requested / mentioned in regional Spring 2008 Indianpolis Conference…)

This is probably not the right place….but here goes anyway:

Another issue that seems rather obvious with the SMAT tool:

Combining of  criterion (ie. specifying times and regexps at the same time seems to ignore regexps) and gives everything.

Seems like there are work-arounds…not sure we want a “work around” solution permanently.

      Thanks

      Hi Rob,

Multiple instances of SMAT in one client connection would be great, but bringing up another client and then using a second screen to see your “after translation” message when the first client has the “before translation” message is much easier to make a comparison. When you’re in the client you can only see one tab at a time anyways.

I think the new SMAT search in 5.7 may address some of the combining that you are mentioning. I can not comment fully as I haven’t explored all possiblities due to time.

We are very happy that Healthvision will be adding back the quick search! 😀 Thank you!

When comapring different thread smats..this would be a great feature…and alot more efficient humanly-speaking in doing research….

This is specifically the limitation that should be addressed in my opinion. Bringing up a whole new IDE environment seems overkill and slow. I would see this working much like bringing up a new FRL config.

Also the criterion of sending host no longer just displays
