timeout 15, await replies, “resend_OB_msg”

when the receiving system does not ack/nak at all ….what parm controls “how much” it attempts resend ?

retries/interval Netconfig parms dont seem to be utilized in this situation.

Unless you write some Tcl to control the timeout resends, it will resend forever (assuming the problem is never corrected).

An Enhacement Request has been made to add that capability to the NetConfig (especially in light of the way the new auto-resend works).

From what I’ve understood is that it will resend forever if Retries = -1.

If you change that to a positive number, say 3, it will skip the message after the third attempt and move on to the next message.

If the message is skipped after the 3rd attempt, how will we know what messages never received an ack?

I’d have to play with it, but I believe they go to the error database.

We have all of our interfaces configured for -1.

that setting might be for protocol level not application level retries. Double check the definition in help.
