removal from db failed: 4

Our cloverleaf system is down. The interfacse are all failing with entries in the err file like these:

05/27/2009 11:13:18 [dbi :log :ERR /0:PAS_HL7_To_PACS_xlate] Unable to read msg data chain

05/27/2009 11:13:19 [dbi :log :ERR /0: Black_Hole] Unable to read msg data chain

05/27/2009 11:13:22 [dbi :dbi :ERR /0:PAS_HL7_To_PACS_xlate] dbiDeleteLogMsg: msg body scan/delete failed

05/27/2009 11:13:22 [xlt :xlat:ERR /0:PAS_HL7_To_PACS_xlate] [0.0.229535425] removal from db failed: 4

  What OS and Cloverleaf version are you using?
  
  Just looking at the error text it looks like it could be a permissions error on the recovery database but I must admit that I’m not familiar with that error.

  OS is server 2000 SP 4 Cloverleaf is 3.8.1P.
  
  I have subsequently ran hcidbinit to reinitialise the error and recovery databases and the system is back online.

  So it was a db issue. I was going to suggest a site cleanup next once Iknew your OS and version. Must admit that I haven’t seen or used 3.xx for years.
