realtime adt to file

Need to copy all realtime ADT messages received each hour to a file in Cloverleaf version 3.8.1.

Have done this in version 5.6 using tcl proc in the TPS outbound data upoc by setting  

$new_name to a file name based on date and hour and then

setting

msgmetaset $mh DRIVERCTL “{FILESET {{ OBFILE $new_name}}}”    

Is it possible to use this same tcl proc logic in version 3.8.1? Is the msgmeta DRIVERCTL available in version 3.8.1?

We started with 3.7.1 and I (almost) know for sure that we have always used a certain proc to rename/number the filename. This proc uses DRIVERCTL, so it must work in 3.8.1 too.
