Sorry for the ‘noob’ question.  I have to install a new license key and need to bounce the hostserver.

I suppose all of the threads will need to be stopped, but then exactly what else needs to be done?  We are on version 5.7 on AIX.

At the present time, this is our only server running both test and production so I want to minimize the downtime.

As always, thanks for any advice.

      Hi Mike,

You can stop/start the hostserver without stopping threads/processes. It may be best though to close all IDE’s (GUIs) before bouncing the hostserver.

Use ‘hciss -k h’ to stop the hostserver and ‘hciss -s h’ to start it again.

Just ask away here. We’re all glad to help out.

Thanks Robert.  That was almost too easy!  And people wonder why we are moving away from eGate to Cloverleaf!

The ease of use, plus this forum really make the product enjoyable to use.
