I’m trying to do some work on our DR box which is offsite and the client connects remotely with no problems.  Then I open the telnet shell window and login.  Then when I type in the setroot command this is what I get:

    C:>setroot

    Access is denied.

    Access is denied.

    Access is denied.

    Could Not Find C:WINNTTEMPsetroot_1.cmd

I’ve looked in C:WINNTTEMP and setroot_1.cmd is there and the permissions for that file look fine.  Anyone know what might be the problem.

QDX 5.2.1 on Windows Server 2000.

I went out to our DR site this morning and from the server I can open a shell and setroot and all of the hci commands work fine.  But through telnet from my PC at my desk I get the errors mentioned above.  Anyone seen this before or know what the problem might be?

Thought I should go ahead and post the solution to this problem.  I spoke with Quovadx support this morning, and we eventually discovered it was a permissions issue in Windows.  Once we gave hciuser the appropriate permissions the commands worked fine via telnet session.
