PID-30 – patient death indicator

Working with our Star-Cerner ADT interface and the Cerner side would like to receive the patient death indicator in PID-30…Star sends that code out in PV1-36.

In the translate I have copied PV1-36 to PID-30, but when the outbound message is created there is nothing in PID-30 (no fields are even created after PID-19).  I have checked the variant to make sure the field exists and it does.

What else could possibly be causing the field to not show up?

Jared,

Make sure there is nothing in your Xlate following your population of PID-30 which would reverse that action such as a PATHCOPY to PID.
