I’m looking for anyone out there that has successfully connected to the Phillips IntelliVUE data server’s bedside monitor device HL7 feed?

We’re have a very strange issue in that we can send and receive data to and from their server’s service from some freeware we’ve downloaded and installed on several windows boxes, however as soon as they update to point to our CloverLeaf environment all messages stop and even down to the network level, we see no activity. We’ve over 125 other interfaces running and have exhausted all options, even through the cloverleaf support staff. Phillips is baffled as well.

We’re running Cloverleaf 5.5 on AIX.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

      Jeremy,

Sorry we are not integrating with that system.

I assume support has already walked you through this but – did you try to connect just using hcitcptest? I am assuming you can ping each other’s machines.

Also, make sure when they reconfigure on the Phillips side, they assure they have released all of the ports associated with the former systems.

we have this set up here.  have you tried setting both ends of the connection (IB from Philips and OB to the HIS) as clients.  i thought it was wierd when they made that requirement and had to ask this list for direction but it appears to be the answer and we have been up for several years.  Thanx!

Interesting Tim, Phillips had not asked for this setup. I’ll have a look, but we are looking for the unsolicited feed, is this also your arrangement?

We have connections with multiple Intellivue servers.  They want the connection established to them as a client.  On their side they restrict which client ip addresses are allowed to connect to their port.  This allows them to establish a single port that feeds multiple systems provided you are in the allowed list.  I would say this is very much like our multiserver port configuration.  I would suspect we could limit by connection as well.
