Orphaned Process

This is driving me crazy. I am doing some testing on our test box, and everytime I shut down this process that I am testing with, it shuts down fine from the GUI, the process turns red, hciprocstatus shows the process as not running, but then when I log onto the test box and pull up task manager, the hciengine process for the process I just shut down is still running AND consuming 100% of the CPU cycles. I kill it and everything is fine, but I can’t figure out why it’s not going away when I stop it from within Cloverleaf. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.

  In my previous gig, we have a cron job that runs every minute to check all processes status; if a process is down this script will start it up. You might have a similar script running that you do not know about… I’m just guessing here. Check your cron job.
