ORM TO ADT_04

What is the best practice to create an ADT_A04 message from an incoming ORM message?  Tcl or Xlate?

I created a xlate which works fine in the testing tool; but, when I run this thru the engine it only sends the ORM message and no ADT_A04?

    Thank you,

    Femina

      I would use Xlate.

In the Xlate I would have an inbound variant and a different outbound variant.

I would specify the ORM (quite possibly an ORM^O01 in reality) as the message and ADT^A04 in the outbound message type.

      I would NOT use BULKCOPY.

I would build my Xlate to do what I want.

I have done this sort of thing before and it always worked properly (once I got my Xlate the way I wanted it) in both the tester and inside the engine.

Are you running it in the engine in the same site that you tested it in?

I am running it on the same site.  I will take a look at it again with the tips you have suggested.

      Thank Jim.
