View attachments to see screen shots that will hopefully describe the problem: HL7 o/p has one OBR (the 2nd iteration) and one

OBX (the 2nd iteration).  The i/p is XML.  I originally had just one loop, OBX, at the segment level (%s1) with no problems.

Then had to change to two loops, OBR/OBX, at the group level (%g1, %g2).  I

Looks like you have a problem with the %g1 and %g2 in the outbound HL7 path. The address 1(0).1(0).3(0)(%g1).0(%g2).OBX I think should be 1(0).1(0).3(%g1).0(%g2).OBX.

But this all depends on your outbound HL7 format. Can you show us this?

Robert, thanks for the help.  I made the change and tested.  See 8/17/10 attachment, the 2

              Johnny,

Your placement of the OBR Group counter in the address path is misplaced.

              You probably have 1(0).1(0).3(%g1).0(%g2).OBX.

If so it should be 1(0).1(%g1).3(0).0(%g2).OBX.

And change the path of the fields from the OBR-segment (which is now 1(0).1(0).0(0)(%g1).OBR) as well. Should be 1(0).1(%g1).0(0).OBR then.

Robert and Jim, the changes you gave have corrected the OBR/OBX-Iterate problem, thanks.

                  The results are in attachment
