NFS access error

    Here’s a strange one…

Upgraded the test site from QDX 3.8.1 to V5.

I’ve noticed whenever I start a thread from Network Monitor, I will get this in the telnet prompt:

“NFS access failed for server sgdotapt1: error 7 (RPC: 1832-

    010 Authentication error)”

It can be ANY thread, not necessary the one configured to write to the NFS mount at Windows server sgdotapt1.

If I use the command line to start the thread, I don’t get the error.

The thread is writing to the NFS mount with no problem.

Access at the NFS mount on the Windows server is given to ‘hcitest’ only.

I suspect this has something to do with the ‘hci’ id being used as the default user on Network Monitor (correct me if I am wrong).

But that does not explain why I am getting the error when I start the other threads.

    TIA!

If you start a process from the GUI, it will be owned by the user that started the hostserver.  Make sure this user has access to your NFS mount.
