Newbie tcl user question

I have a question that i know is easy, but cant find answer.

I am trying to write tcl code and i want to extend it to the next line instead of going all the way across the screen. And i dont know what character to use to continue a new line of code. I know for the output you use n for a  newline.

Any help would be great.

use to escape the eol character

make sure there is no space or other unreadable character afterward.

ex.

this is line1

and this is

also line 1
