I need to split the message over 30K. People gave me two sugestions to deal it. One way is using split xlate script. I am not too good at xlate script since i just started to use qdx5.2. The other way is using DSC segment. I would like to try to use DSC segment first. Could anybody give me some samples about how to use DSC segment to split messages?????? thanks so much!!!!!

There are sections in the HL/7 standard documentation that explain the principal behind continuing messages.
You should read that and become familiar with it.
But — if the receiving system does not support the standard, then you need to create messages that the receiving system can handle.
For them to simply say they need a large message broken up is not enough. The receiving system needs to make clear how they want the continuation to occur.
It would not be suprising if they did not know and thus it would be an Integration Engineer’s responsibility to understand how continuation should occur and suggest that as a solution.
