We are trying to implment a new SNA Connection to a Siemens Invision system via the SNA protocol.  We have tried to set up everything like the other connections we already have(which noone here actually set up) and we get the following error when starting the thread.

[appc:open:ERR /0:  adt_inv] can’t ALLOCATE to TPN ‘CLNK’: Allocation error – Allocation Failure Retry

Can anyone tell me where to start looking to resolve this error??

Thanks in advance for any help..

Could be a lot of things.  Most likely you will have to put a trace on it.  Make sure they have it C=Varied on on the Seimens side.    You realize that CLINK is nothing more than a pointer to the real program.  If they are not listening, you can’t allocate.

Good Luck!  SNA protocols are a lot of fun   😈

Hey Brad, I recently went through the fun and excitment of new SNA connections to Seimens Invision, and my therapist says i’m going to be “ok”.  The cloverleaf side was less painful than getting seimens to do thier thing properly.  My main trouble was with them defining the interface properly in Invision.  Are you using an LU6.2 connection?  Is it TIF or RTIF ?  We ended up purchasing new LUs from seimens and then redirected the interfaces.  Let me know if you want to go through specifics.
