McKesson STAR ADT connection

Recently had to change port assignments to an Inbound ADT connection from STAR. With the service down on STAR the thread on Cloverleaf was changed to the new port assignment and turned on, using a port that was not in use by any other thread, the thread came to an up listing even though the service had not been started on STAR. Does anyone have a answer as to why it would show connectivity were none exists?

I would do a ‘netstat’ command from the command line to see what IP is connecting to that port; i.e.

netstat -a -n -f inet | grep xxxx

where ‘xxxx’ is the port number in question.
