      Cloverleaf 5.6 on Solaris 10

      I have an intermittent problem with one Cloverleaf connection. The connection is from our PAS

          The FIN_WAIT_2 status should only exist for a fraction of a second. If it’s hangng there, someone broke the connection without “gracefully” shutting it down. The shut down process involves exchanging shutdown messages between the two ends of the connection. That didn’t complete.

          There are a number of posts here on CloverTech about the problem. Search for “keep-alive”. You most likely have a connection going through some equipment like a router, vpn, switch that is timing out and breaking the connection prematurely.

            The strange thing is all the other similar connections go along the same piece of string. I’ve asked our network people to put a sniffer on.
