load balancing?

I want to setup a couple of Cloverleaf machines. Each machine is responsible for certain sources. When one machine fails, I want another machine to take over the work of the failed machine.

Has anyone done this in the past? Or have ideas on how it is possible?

  What OS for your machines? I think HACMP for AIX might be able to handle this for you.
  
  One problem you face is that if your interface is a server, the client will need to change IP connection inoformation, or you will need to bring the IP of the failed box over to the other one, without changing its IP address.
