    Hi,

I’m installing Cloverleaf 5.7 on Windows Server 2008 SP2 and I get a ‘java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : run Exception in thread “main” ‘ error at the beginning of installation, during the ‘Preparing Java VM’ stage. Just an OK button is available and the installation stops after this.

JRE 1.6 is installed and I tested the same install CD on my desktop, albeit Windows XP (but still compatible), with the full JDK 1.6 installed and I get the same error there.

The installation is on new hardware, and so there is no previous version of Cloverleaf/QDX or Java already installed.

Let me know if there is more information that would be helpful here!

    Thanks,

    Stephen

      This has now resolved itself!

I don’t know exactly how. I installed Java and continued to receive the error when attempting to run the setup file. A day later, when verifying the error on my desktop for tech support, the error no longer appeared and setup ran ok. Same happened back on the server.

So setup has now been run through to completion ok now.
