Java compiler

I am curious. We are on 5.5 rev1. Does this version come with a java compiler? If so, where would I find it?

  Unless they have changed it – and I don’t they have Cloverleaf comes with the Java run time only. If you want the compiler you will need to download one from the Sun website. If you download the latest version you can compile using the -target option to compile your code to the version of run time installed. Alternatively you could download the SDK for the Java version you have – Cloverleaf 5.5 comes with Java 1.5.
