I have been asked if it is possible to dealloc a session within cloverleaf and not attempt to reallocate until a message is pending for our sna rtif connections. What I am finding is that with the dealloc option on the sna configuration, (LU 6.2 APPC). the session deallocates, however, it is immediately reaquired and awaits the next transaction. Apparently the number of RTIF’s that are active are consuming more memory on the Invision side than what they want.
I have noticed pretty frequent Error msgs in the netmon for the rtif threads stating:
Error Msg: readx failed: Resource Failure Retry
But the thread disconnects, then reconnects, so not much attention has been given to these errors.
Anyone else been down this road?
Thanks for any suggestions.
