    Hello-

When trying to run hcimsiutil -R in site clean-up we received the following error:

    Code:

[0:TEST] msiShemRemove: Can’t remove shmem region 655375: Not owner.

So, we logged in as “root” and ran hcimsiutil -R, but the shell returned an error. (were on AIX 5.3)

My questions are these… One how to do I find out which user is the owner?…Two when logged in as “root” and I run hcimsiutil -R from its full path in the bin directory will it work?

    Thanks!

(your always confused clovertecher  ðŸ™„ )

    Gary

Shut down monitord and rm $HCISITEDIR/exec/monitorShmemFile

Restart hcimonitord and the file is recreated.  Make sure you do it as the hci user.

Is the file monitorShmemFile hidden?  I do not see it in the directory $HCISITEDIR/exec.

AIX 5.3. Duh I found it  ðŸ˜¯ I didn’t know this file was of the “p” type (never heard of that before).  When I ftp’d in before I did not see it.

One more question for ya, do I need to stop the host before I remove the monitorShmemFile?

      Thanks for your help Charlie!!

      Not the host, just monitord
