We just experienced a disasterous situation involving an ftp thread. Cloverleaf was not able to connect to the recieiving fax server due to a VPN issue, and the thread went into an error state. As a result, two our inbound threads stopped ACK’ing back, and the systems kept sending the same message out to our clients for hours. We just brought up ver 5.6 rev2 on our Win2003 server. I am using the same tps_create_ack_hl7 proc for the inbound threads that I had on the previous ver, and never saw this behavior. Anybody experience a similar issue, or have a suggestion to prevent this.

Check tsee if there is not a new distributed acknowledgment proc. I seem to recall someone saying at the User Conference there was a new acknowldgment proc.
If there is, check it against the old one and see if there is some fundamental change that you need to deploy in your ack proc.
