FTP thread does not write to the SMAT file

I have a thread that receives ORMs from an inbound thread and FTP’s them to a server using the Fileset-FTP protocol.  The thread is not writing to the inbound or outbound SMAT files that are indicated in the Save inbound messages or Save outbound messages file name text boxes.

Is there a Tcl approach to getting the data written, or triggering an automatic write, to the SMAT file?  The thread is setup with basic FTP output settings and it sends the file out properly.
