We are having an issue with the creation of additional hcimonitord jobs, that do not reference what site they are related to. This is causing erratic behavior with
the threads and alerts. Using “ps -ef |grep hcimonitord”, we can see the the jobs for our
4 Live sites. Sometimes there are one or more extra hcimonitord processes, that do not have a site name associated to them.
The result is that threads will go into error. Something is causing additional instances of the hcimonitord process.
We have nothing in Crontab to execute these jobs, and we are not running Global Monitor. We are running a third party monitoring product called BMC Performance Monitor. This product is used to check the server for disk space, memory allocation, etc.
Please advise your comments, as to may be causing the creation of additional (phantom) jobs.
