    I have set an alert email to be sent when cloverleaf outbound thread is down.  But sometimes it does not send the alert email out even the thread is down.  How can i correct it so the client will not complain that we take too long to restart the thread.

      We learned many of our alerts only fire once like for interface not UP.

      The alert will not keep firing if the condition repeats too often.

      The method we used that has been good enough for our purpose is to use the UNIX touch command to update the time stamp of the default.alrt file in each site once an hour.

      This will reset all the alerts and cause them to keep firing each hour until the problem is resolved.
