Elements in a table

Just curious on if there is a restriction on the amount of elements in the lookup table. I am on 3.7.1 and I am looking at creating a table with 250-350 items

  Lookup tables can be quite a bit longer than that.
  
  We once used a table that had about 1400 entries.
  
  I’m sure that there are those who use larger tables….

  I thought the tables were held in memory so we have always limited our tables to a max of approx 3000 items. We’ve never experienced any problems with tables this size.

  we have one table w/ 9000+ entries and it seems to work fine, although
  
  we’re not running it inside the real-time engine, we’re just using hcitcl in a weekly cron job.
