Hello – testing our upgrade from 5.3 to 5.8 and found a difference – when going from FRL to HL7, we would copy a 6 char date in the FRL (example 110715) through Xlate to the HL7 variant 8 char DT and it would convert to 20110715. This is not happening in 5.8. Turned on precision timestamp and no luck. Have checked FRL and HL7 var and don’t see anything different.

Datecopy doesn’t have the format we need of YYYYMMDD.

      Suggestions?

Problem solved by adding TCL code in the pre-proc of the xlate when doing the copy. I also set the data type to “String” on the HL7 variant side where it was previously Date / DT type.
