Date format

I had to change the format of the admit date/time in PV1-44 from YYYYMMDDTTTT to Day, Month Date, Year  HH:MM.  But when the record is sent outbound, each space is interpreted as a field seperator.  So after I convert “200508020800” to “Tuesday, August 2, 2005  8:00 a.m.”, I get “Tuesday,^August” in PV1-44.  I tried changing the field type in the variant to “TX” and “ST” but neither one worked.

Is there a way to send the date outbound from a translate and include the spaces in it?

OK Beth, you hit my hot button  ðŸ™‚

As I have iterated many times on this list, xlateInVals and xlateOutVals are lists.  Please treat them as such

      set xlateOutVals

         should work

Oops – I’m familiar with that button, Charlie!  Thanks for the reminder.  It’s been so long since I’ve had to work with tcl that even the basics escaped me on this one.
