Create duplicate ADT messages from 1 ADT messages

Hello All,

    A vendor has asked that we create duplicate ADT messages based on the number of appointment numbers sent in the message. The appointment numbers will be ^ delimited in 1 field in a Z segment.

I’m not sure the best way to proceed and any recomendations/examples would be appreciated.

I don’t have examples of this.

But you should be able to iterate over the account numbers.

And the last step in your iteration would be a countinue.

Tom,

It does not look like that is repetitoin (unless your inbound system is using ^ as the field repetition separator).

So you may need to do a list repetition where the list contains the maximum elements that could be the maximum number of appointment codes in the component field.

Or you could simply have a series of IF Actions pointing to each of the components directly.

In any case, you will need to check to see if the component in question is null and hopefully whoever developed this Z segment (I hate them with a passion) was smart enough to assure there were no imbedded missing components.
