We have a window environment. Recently on two translation files that were copied from live to test, then modified and approved, were then copied back to live and applied to the process.

A few weeks later we discovered that the update was causing problems, but the test side is still working fine. I have noticed that the variants that are being used in test do not have the same dates at the variant in live.

Could the variant cause an issue such as this? It seems like our test system does not mimic our live system.

          Robert,

Yes variant differences can definitely affect the Xlate results.

You can get errors in the log that indicate a structure mismatch, and/or your resultant messages could be different (between test and prod), or other differences.

You will need to compare the formats and evaluate the differences.
