Connectivity to outbound thread

I have an outbound thread that is working most of the time.

  What does the process log say? I’ll bet you will see something like ‘remote side shut down’.

  There is not much you can do here. Cloverleaf(R) has sent a connection request (SYN_SENT) and has timed out waiting for the other side to respond with something (ACK_SYN or RST perhaps).
  
  I suspect Cloverleaf(R) then waits the Auto_retry delay you have set and tries to connect again. Apparently one of the times it succeeds.
  
  It is either on the receiving system side or there is a firewall or some such thing somewhere blocking communication for a period of time.
  
  My bet is the vendor needs to pull his head out.
