    When I combine multiple fields using the concat function it seperates them with a ^.  Is there any way to remove this so the field is seen as just one sentence?

    Example of problem:

    OBX|5|NM|^DiastolicPressure^^68^mmHg^—||||||||F

    Wanted output:

    OBX|5|NM|DiastolicPressure 68 mmHg—||||||||F

    Thanks for any help you can provide!

      One way of many.

      add .[0] to your destination.

      0(0).OBR(0).#3.[0].

      Mike,

      Do you have a separator specified in the CONCAT?

      Guys,  Adding the .[0] to the destination did get rid of the ^ symbols.  However it then jumbled them into a run on of words with no spaces.

      Jim, To answer your question I did not have a seperator.  But by adding a space as my seperator it made everything appear the way I was hoping.

      Thanks for all of the help everyone.
