Command Line Smatting

Is there a command line  I can use to point to a already smatted file or a msg file, apply a regex filter and get a len encoded , filtered smat file ?

I want to be able to filter smat and submit via hcicmd -resend from test scripts so that I can file a bunch of scripts and check out the log files to see how they work.

Makes bulk testing a lot easier!
