I think I just discovered that a SUPPRESS inside an IF Action if marked Deactivated still is effective if the IF path is taken.

    For example

    IF 0(0).MSH(0).#9(0).[1] eq =A01

SUPRESS  <-- This is Deactivated other actions… When the inbound message is an ADT^A01 (thus MSH-9.2 is equal to A01) the outbound message is suppressed. It should not be because the SUPPRESS is deactivated. Has anyone else experienced this? Would someone else try this as well to check my sanity? Let me know what you find out.

      No need to validate.

The SUPPRESS does get deactivated when inside an IF Action.

What bit me is the known bug in Cloverleaf(R) 5.6 that sometimes the changes you make with an IF do not take effect even though they look fine.

I closed the Xlate and reopened it then redid the SUPPRESS test and it worked fine.

      Grrr 😡

      👿

Only took you half an hour…

It keeps bugging me that this problem has been around for so long: 5.5, 5.6 and even 5.7. I do hope it is fixed in 5.8.
