Can anyone comment on the progress with Cloverleaf 5.8? I have been informed that we have the go-ahead to upgrade over the 2010 calendar year and we would like to go to 5.8 (we are on 5.6 now).
By no means anything official here, but we completed a Beta evaluation of the 5.8 intergrator (we are on AIX5.3 CIS5.6R2) and from what we know it is now in QA status (changes frozen).
I urge you however to build in plenty of time to thoroughly test your integration; there are extensive changes that affect HL7 variants, routing, and multithreading capabilities among other changes/enhancements.
In my opinion this is a major change to the integrator and requires much thought and analysis on what you want to turn on and what you may wish to leave as is until later.
I urge you to read the Release Notes and install notes carefully and thoroughly. For HL7 variants you will need to make a decision on whether or not to allow your variants to be “fixed” or remain intact with the balance of HL7 templates NOT used to be “fixed”.
