thanks Rob, question about the “Delayed Connection” setting for TCP & PDL/TCPIP. If there are multiple messages in the OB-queue, does it keep the connection open as long as there are messages in the queue. or does it close & open for each message?

Delay connect only deals with opening the connection.  It has nothing to do with closing it.

Once the connection is opened, it will stay open unless one of the following conditions occur:

– remote side closes the connection

– “close after write” is enabled and a message is written

– a “control” message is received by the driver telling it to close the connection

– thread shutdown

Rob, I have looked into the support documentation for Cloverleaf Integrator 5.6 about utility hcidbconvert.  It appears that we would use this to move messages from the old Raima database (if they exist) in CIS 5.6 Revision 0 to the new Raima 7.2 database in CIS5.6 Rev 1?  The notes state something like “to convert data from the RDM Embedded Database to the RDM Server Database”.

Please clarify exactly when we would use this utility.

Hi Bob

This utility is only used for the raima “server” option – which is in a test mode for 5.6.

Normal migrations using the embedded raima database do not require use of this utility.
